Welcome to The Manor Practice, Southwick

Our Partnership has been practicing in Southwick for over forty years. We are a seven doctor partnership, consisting of five male and two female partners. We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.

The practice aims to offer the most caring, efficient and up to date service to all our patients, by the use of preventative medicine and well trained technical staff

Teaching

Dr Thomas is a GP Trainer.  A qualified doctor joins the practice for a period of 6 or 12 months to undertake his or her GP training.  A GP Registar holds clinics at the surgery, and you may be asked to take part in video recording of your consultation, this is confidential and only shared with Dr Thomas for training purpose. You are at liberty to decline video recording.

Practice Facilities

Induction Loop

If you are hard of hearing we have an induction loop at our reception desk

Parking

The practice is situated adjacent to a large public car park.

Toilet for Wheelchair users

This is situated on the first floor next to the lift.

Lift

We have a lift available for patients who use a wheelchair or mobility scooter and for parents with prams or buggies.

Wheelchair Access

The main entrance to the practice has no steps and is easily accessible for wheelchairs or mobility scooters. We have a lift which is for the use of wheelchairs and parents with prams or buggys.

Baby Changing Toilet

This facility is situated on the first floor in the disabled toilet next to the lift.

Disabled Car Parking

We have 3 car parking bays in Southdown Road for patients with disabled car badges to use.

Whooping Cough Outbreak! - Whooping Cough Vaccinations for Pregnant Women.

If you are over 28weeks pregnant the Department of Health is recommending that you have a vaccination to protect your baby against whooping cough.  There have been a number of reported outbreaks in our area.  Please contact reception to arrange an appointment.

Thinking of giving up?

We offer patients the opportunity to attend individual smoking cessation sessions and group sessions, both are held at the surgery.  Group sessions last for 6 weeks are held on Mondays 4.30-5.30pm.
